Writing challenge:  The topic is “Rain.”  One page limit.  Prose or poetry.
Weather: 14 day forecast is for a sunny day

Directions to Cox Garden:
Black Creek is north of Merville and south of Oyster River.

Take Highway 19A north from Courtenay. Shortly after entering Black Creek Unincorporated (just past Howard Rd) you will pass Topshelf Feed on right (big sign). Continue north…slight curve in highway to the right and gentle downhill slope and you will come to a large sign for Black Creek Community Hall on right. Slow down. Fairview Rd is the next street on right past the Community Hall.

If you pass the Black Creek Community Church on the right (big sign), you have missed our street. Turn into their driveway quick! Their back parking lot opens onto Fairview Rd in behind the church. We are the second house behind the church.

But if you made the turn onto Fairview, we are the second-to-last house (7896) at the end of the street…almost directly behind the church. Look for a wire fence with rugosa roses poking through along road front, green garage doors, a woodshed, a large front porch…and lots of plants.

If you are really lost, here is my phone number: 250-337-8051.

Note: There is lots of room for parking in the church parking lot, almost directly across the street from our house.
